The Meadow Event Park
The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County, Virginia, is rich in history. Located just minutes from Richmond and Fredericksburg, an easy drive from Hampton Roads/Virginia Beach and a straight shot from the D.C. area, Thoroughbred racing legend Secretariat was born here in 1970. Three years later he blazed his way into Triple Crown history. Today his birthplace is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register.
Directions
From I-95, take Exit 98 (Doswell) and travel 1½ miles east on state Route 30. The main entrance to The Meadow Event Park will be on your left. Take a left into Gate 3.
Alternate Routes:
- Take U.S. Route 301 to state Route 30; travel about 3 miles west on Route 30. The main entrance to The Meadow Event Park will be on your right. Make a right into Gate 3.
- Take U.S. Route 1 to state Route 30; travel about 2 miles east on Route 30. The main entrance to The Meadow Event Park will be on your left. Make a left into
Gate 3.
